Horsin’ Around Educational Series - Fall 2024

Join us at The Pavilion on Lonestar for an education equine series benefiting Swingin’ D Horse Rescue.

This 3 part Educational Series will cover some essential yet not widely known aspects of equine maintenance for health and training. We will practice and discuss:

How Posture impacts Health - November 16, 2024.                                                         Experience how different postures feel with our mat exercises and learn to help your horse use posture for proper muscle development to aid in soundness. Bring a yoga mat or beach towel as we will be performing some postures on our hands and knees. 

Fear to Unfazed: Emotional Regulation - November 24, 2024.                                      Breathe with me as I work with a horse to reduce anxiety and help them find comfort and confidence.

Setting and Meeting Goals - December 14,2024.                                                           Learn some strategies to set attainable goals and track your progress. In this workshop we will discuss goal setting tools and ways to make them attainable while evaluating live horses and discuss what would be appropriate goals for each of them.

Participants will also receive visual aids and key points notes sent to their email for the sessions they attend.
